LOGIINE FOR REMOVAL OF OUTER WATERPROOFING COAT FROM MAIN PIPE LINES AND UNITS FOR STAGE-BY-STAGE CLEANING OF PIPE LINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: major repair of oil and gas transportation pipe lines under field conditions. SUBSTANCE: combine has housing embracing the pipe line. Housing consists of frames made in form of flat rings connected by means of girders forming single rigid structure. Device for suspension of carriage to pipe of housing is made in form of swivel levers articulated to housing by means of hinges having wheels at their ends. Combine is provided with cleaning unit for cleaning the pipe line of soil, cleaning unit for removing waterproofing layer from pipe line and unit for preparing the pipe line for applying new waterproofing coat. Rotor systems of all units consist of circular rotor (movable part) and fixed part interconnected by means of radial thrust bearing. Heads of cleaning units are provided with holddown mechanisms and release mechanisms. Besides, combine is provided with centralized controllable drive for placing the tools in inoperative position.
