FIELD: graphic arts industry. SUBSTANCE: concentrate for preparing aqueous printing dyes and varnishes applicable in phlexography and gravure printing contains, as binder, 10-80 wt % of resin with acid number 20-500 mg KOH per 1 g of resin. The resin is water-insoluble at initial state and becomes water-soluble once acid groups are neutralized. As neutralizing agent, concentrate contains a base capable to volatilize on heating under conditions of after-printing drying. Content of base is sufficient to convert binding resin into water-insoluble state. As binding resin, maleic or acrylic acid with acid number 40 to 250 is used. Neutralizing agent may be ammonium carbonate or its mixture with sodium or potassium hydroxide, or with alkali or alkali-earth metal carbonates. Concentrate is prepared by mixing dry binding resin with dry neutralizing agent. EFFECT: improved quality of concentrate and procedure of its preparation. 13 cl
