PREPARATION FOR FINISHING TEXTILE MATERIALS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: preparation for finishing textile materials from viscose fibers or their combination with other fibers contains mixture of 45.2-66.5 wt % of imidazolidinone-2 derivatives having general formula 1, where R is , R′ is OH,OCH₃,O(CH₂CH₂)H and H with R is CH(OH)CHO, 1.1-7.2 wt % of diethylene glycol, and water (the balance). Preparation renders fabrics less creaseable and less contractible with negligible content of residual formaldehyde on treated fabric and sufficiently soft touch. EFFECT: improved finishing quality.
