FIELD: locking device for various objects. SUBSTANCE: magnetic lock has blocking unit, ultimate moment clutch moving cross-bar of lock and key of magnetically soft material. Lock is additionally fitted with limiters of lifting and/or lowering of code elements. Position of zone of free movement of code elements relative to interrogation frame is determined by plugs (holes) of coding frame or by location of limiters. Blocking unit can have limiters which block horizontal movement of code elements or of guiding matrix if codes of key and coding frame do not match. Blocking unit ca have fixed limiters put into code elements. Coding of blocking unit is carried out by movement- of fixed limiters in code elements. Coding of blocking unit can be performed not by movement of fixed limiters but by turning of code elements over which enables functions of code element and limiter to be integrated in one element using: different geometry of ends of code element. Change of length of grooves of interrogation frame is also provided by placement of limiters into these grooves which will cause hitting of these grooves by code elements in case of wrong code of key and blocking of travel of interrogation frame.
