FIELD: agricultural technology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on successive economical tillage. First stage of tilling is effected to depth of 6-8 cm with introduction of basic proportion of mineral fertilizer and subsequent rolling up. Second stage includes tilling to depth of 14-16 cm with introduction of organic fertilizer and also rolling up. Main moulboardless tilling is carried out to depth of 25-27 cm. Formed in this way is highly fertile easy to cultivate layer of soil with depth of 0-16 cm which after hilling reaches depth of 25-30 cm. Located in this layer is major activity of root system and potato tubers are also developed in this layer. After 9-12 days upon planting of tubers, mouldboardless loosening of soil is effected by means of subsurface cultivator to depth of 10-12 cm deeper than tubers location with simultaneous harrowing. At first interrow cultivation, mineral fertilizer is applied to surface in strips not less than 15-20 cm wide on trails of potato rows and covered with soil. Vegetation of tops is terminated at 7-15 days before harvesting by cutting potato root system at depth of 6-8 cm below location of tubers. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl
