MULTILAYER MATERIAL FOR INNER PARTS OF FOOTWEAR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: artificial materials for footwear industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of materials such as cire and, in particular, reinforcing and rigid members for inner parts of footwear. Invention is aimed at reducing usage of materials and simultaneously improving deformation- strength characteristics, and preserving hygienic properties of footwear. Aim is achieved with that, in multilayer material for inner parts of footwear consisting of fibrous base with thickness 0.6-1.1 mm and constituting a mixture of viscose and kapron-type fibers in ratio (2.8-3.0):1 or (1.0-1.2):1 impregnated with latex mix, and thermoadhesive coating containing powder-like polyvinylacetate with dispersity 200-400 mcm or vinylacetate/ethylene(or dibutylmaleate) copolymer in proportion (88-90):(10-12) or (75-80):(20-25), respectively, disposed on the both sides of fibrous base and occupying 60-70% of its surface in the form of separate members, the above-mentioned latex mix is composed, in ratio 1:(1-0.6), of (i) copolymer of styrene, butadiene, and a carboxylic acid in ratio 67:32:1 and (ii) styrene, isoprene, and methacrylic acid in ratio 85:13:2. Latex mix is characterized with surface tension 37-43 MN/m and viscosity 14-16 S and contains, as emulsifier, sodium alkylsulfonate. EFFECT: improved quality and reduced cost. 1 tbl
