FIELD: waste water purification. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of processing sediments formed in biological purification of household and industrial waste water and may be applied in various industrial fields, in particular, in pulp-and-paper industry. Preliminarily compressed activated sludge is treated under stirring with white sludge obtained in the stage of caustization of fresh lye in the sulfate-cellulose production. White sludge is taken in volume ratio to activated sludge 1:(5-10). Treated sludge is then dehydrated by filtration, preferably at 75-104 C. Dehydrated sediment is dried and burned. Ash residual as well as clarified alkaline hydrolizate are used in the process of sulfate-cellulose production. Proposed method makes it possible to intensify filtration process, eliminate using expensive chemicals, completely utilize products obtained from treatment of sludge, and also utilize white sludge - waste of sulfate-cellulose production. EFFECT: facilitated process and sufficiently reduced expenses. 3 cl
