FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention allows for distillation of heated crude oil in the first distillation column with taking off side-cut distillate containing 5-85 wt % of diesel fuel based on its content in raw material, the rest (to 100%) being light components. Still bottoms from the first column are distilled in the second one to take off fuel fractions including diesel fuel, which is withdrawn from intermediate section of column between two points where feed is introduced.
