FIELD: molding of thermoplastic materials. SUBSTANCE: objective of invention is molding hollow cup-like objects, such as graduated jars, tumblers, containers from thermoplastic sheets. Essence of invention consists in that, when hollow objects are thermally molded with thermoplastic material sheet basis, after object (or objects) is removed from half master form, it is conveyed to receiving mold, whose shape corresponds to that of half master form. Receiving mold can successively step-by-step move together with conveyor. Then molds are successively displaced in direction to at least one processing or handling position. At this time, one half master form is displaced in reverse direction such that the other half master form were positioned against punch to mold next object. All objects carried by at least one mold are processed or handled when next object is molded. Apparatus is provided with stepping conveyor with great number of plates or molds, at least one processing or handling position, and at least one gripping head. Each plate or mold may receive and hold object (objects) after one molding operation in the same relative position as they occupied in the press. Gripping head is capable to lift one party of molded objects in turn from each half of double master form from one or other side of punch and convey objects to corresponding plate or mold on conveyor. Processing or handling position is located along conveyor for simultaneously finishing all objects after at least one molding or stamp operation. EFFECT: facilitated molding of hollow objects. 38 cl, 42 dwg
