FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has supporting column whose lower end is secured in floor of storage and worm feeder which is hinged to lower end of column for rotation about horizontal axis of hinge from vertical position where it is located approximately in parallel with vertical axis of supporting column to horizontal position (through intermediate angular position) where it is located near floor of storage. Outer end of worm feeder is provided with auxiliary device facilitating its rotation about vertical axis of supporting column. This auxiliary device is provided with closed caterpillar track which is engageable with upper surface of loose material when worm feeder turns to intermediate angular positions. Auxiliary device applies force to worm feeder which is directed forward and is tangential to circular trajectory of its rotation about vertical axis of column.
