FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: nutrient medium has the following components, g/1 l: iron sulfate 0.0002-0.1; sodium chloride 4-6; glucose 8-12; agar-agar 0.75-1.0; ascorbic acid 0.8-1.2, and enzymatic hydrolyzate of colostrum casein-whey mass as a source of nitrogen compounds - the rest. Bifidobacteria grown on the proposed nutrient medium shows antagonistic activity with respect to 3 strains of dysentery pathogens (2 cultures of S. flexner, 1 culture of S. sonne), 2 strains of proteus, enteropathogenic Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Activity of acid formation is 100-120 degrees by Terner. Proposed nutrient medium from lactoglobulin waste provides good development of bifidobacteria of the strain B. bifidum-1 that retains typical morphological, cultural and biological properties. Invention can be used for bifidumbacterin production. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of medium. 1 tbl
