FIELD: surface treatment of metallic articles by acoustic and magnetic fields. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes two magnetic converters mounted concentrically with respective gap. Outputs of said converters are connected with inputs of pulse generators connected by opposite fashion. Output of one generator is connected with input of synchronizer whose output is connected with input of second generator. Tablet-type piezotransducer of undersurface waves arranged coaxially relative to said magnetic converters is placed onto surface to be treated. One surface of tablet- type piezotransducer is in plane of lower ends of magnetic converters. Motion shock absorbers are arranged at side of lower end of outer magnetic converter. Said magnetic converters are in the form of pack of toroidal rubber rings having insulated conducting filaments with equal number of turns wound onto them. Pack may include ten rings with number of wound conducting filaments increased from one on lower ring up to ten on upper ring. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 1 dwg
