FIELD: determination of liquid mediums level. SUBSTANCE: thermoresistive transformer made of three in series connected resistive sensitive members (one - measuring and two - compensating members of different length and resistance) is placed in tested object. Voltage drop on sensitive members is measured and according to their values required value of level is calculated. Preliminary in similar conditions of heat-exchange for all sensitive members normalizing factors are determined, that allows to avoid operation of dial calibration. Thermoresistive transformer is made in the form of cable with mineral insulation. Current and potentials leads of sensitive members form together with them V-shaped electric branch with loop-shaped location of conductors in places of their connections.
