SEEDING UNIT Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, precision drilling units. SUBSTANCE: seeding unit has disk 1 with cells 2 and 3 positioned at an angle to rim. Cells 2 and 3 are adapted for receiving seeds and fertilizers, respectively, and disposed on rim of disk 1. Seeding unit is further provided with seed and fertilizer baffle 4 with holes 6 for passage of seeds and fertilizer to cells 2 and 3 and with holes 7 and 8 for supplying air to cells 2 and 3; hopper 9 with seed and fertilizer sections I and II; tedders 10 and 11 mounted on common shaft 12 and disposed in sections I and II of hopper 9, with shaft 12 being driven by seeding shaft 13 through hitch belt drive 14; supporting plate 15 with seed and mineral fertilizer discharge openings 16, 17; springs 18,19 for regulating friction force value between disk 1, baffle 4 and supporting plate 15; branched manifold 20 for supplying air (exhaust gas) to holes 7 and 8 of seed and mineral fertilizer baffle 4 to provide for blowing seeds and mineral fertilizer from cells 2 and 3 of disk 1. Air is supplied into manifold 20 from exhaust pipe of tractor. Urged by air (exhaust gases), seeds and mineral fertilizer are removed from cells 2 and 3, fed through holes 16 and 17 into seed guide and fertilizer guide 22 and further into respective holes of share 23 and into hole 24 (mineral fertilizer) and hole 25 (seeds).
