FIELD: tobacco industry. SUBSTANCE: tobacco stringing machine has piece-by-piece tobacco receiving unit, where each tobacco leaf is strung on needles of disk engageable with planks in casing for feeding leaves to needle. In second unit tobacco leaf is moved along needle and transferred on cord by conical plank, which is fixed on crank and adapted to move apart three pairs of spring-loaded needle retaining planks. Midrib of leaf is cut in third unit, when wide plate is brought close to leaf from the left and plate with knife is brought close to leaf from the right. Each leaf is displaced along cord by chain conveyor with clamps for each leaf. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 10 dwg
