FOLDER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2081752 C1

FIELD: printing. SUBSTANCE: the offered folder has two folding rollers 1 and 2 with folding feet in form of holder 3 with recess accommodating cutting blade 4. Fold-forming units consist of two rotating rollers 13 installed on levers 14 rocking on axles 15. Rollers 13 are pressed to each other by springs 16. Cylindrical surface of rollers 2 has recess 23 in which sectors 24 are installed and pressed to surface of recess 23 by springs 25. Sectors 24 have guide pins 20, whose spacing corresponds to that of perforations of paper web 19. Sectors 24 are pressed by springs 26 to stops 27 attached to body of roller 2 for adjustment. Motion of sectors 24 in recess 23 of roller 2 during folding in direction of motion of perforated tape 19 makes it possible to reduce tension of the latter and to avoid paper crumplings. EFFECT: increased stability of folding blades 17 and higher quality of made folding due to presence of folding members in form of spring-loaded rocking rollers 13. 2 dwg
