JAR SEALING AND LID STRAIGHTENING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: household appliances; sealing of glass jars with standard tin lids of two sizes. SUBSTANCE: device has handles with two-size pressure holders secured on axle for rotation. Holders are arranged symmetrically relative to each other and are connected by brace. Device has multiple profile section tie-rod one end of which is fastened on brace between pressure holders with antifriction gaskets placed in between. Handle is secured on other end by means of threaded connection. Handle is fitted in slot of carrier installed on square profile of tie rod. Roller is secured on carrier by screw fitted on antifriction bearing. Roller is provided with groove on outer surface. Handle is made removable for changing its position relative to pressure holders. Device has lid straightening ring installed for tight fitting in space of pressure holder of smaller size. Ring is removable. Shaped projection is made on side surface of ring corresponding to groove on roller surface. Design of device provides smooth rotation of drive handle preventing cocking. EFFECT: improved quality of sealing of glass jars of practically any capacity. 3 cl, 3 dwg
