SUBSTANCE: novel derivatives of 1,4-dihydropyridine have common formula given in specification where R¹ is nitro- or trifluoromethyl, chlorine or atoms of chlorine in 2- and 3-positions, R² is saturated C₁-C₈ alkyl having straight or branched chain or W-OZ group where W is straight C₁-C₃-alkylene, Z is n-C₁-C₃-alkyl, R³ is methyl or ethyl, n=1-3. Some of proposed compounds possess vasodilator action and therefore they may be used in therapy of hypertension. Some of proposed compounds have vasoconstrictor action and therefore they may be used for treatment of low blood pressure.
