FIELD: drilling of oil wells. SUBSTANCE: according to method, base member preferably cylindrical in shape and with holes is installed. Interlaying members are located on outer surface of base member in longitudinal direction. Wire is wound over interlaying member with clearance so as to create circular space between surface of wire and outer surface of base member. By means of interlaying members, aforesaid space is divided into longitudinal passages and at definite intervals these passages are isolated in cross section. This operation is performed by means of hardening fluidic material which is brought to outer surface of filter. Filter is being rotated as hardening material fills longitudinal passages and clearances of wire with covering its outer surface at isolating intervals. EFFECT: better uniformity of gravel distribution in well and prevention of sand penetration into filter. 5 cl, 2 dwg
