SAMPLER FOR PACKER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: this is used for testing formations by tubular tester in drilling oil and gas wells. Sampler for packer has body with seats in its head pieces. Rod with plugs is installed in body with possible seating of plugs in seats under action of fluid flow from equalizing valve of formation tester to under-packer zone. Means for removing sealed sample is provided. Sampler has hydraulic actuator which is in the form of non-return valve made up of plate and seat. Rod with plugs is suspended from plate. Seat is secured by shear pin. Means for removing sealed sample is made of two locking needles which lock threaded seats provided in head pieces and adapted for connection to laboratory equipment. Sampler for packer allows for taking sealed sample into sampler, deliver it to laboratory and connect directly to existing laboratory equipment. EFFECT: high efficiency. 7 dwg
