FIELD: manufacture of aircraft engines, hypersonic ramjet engines in particular. SUBSTANCE: fuel at molecular weight lesser than that of air is fed mainly near concave surface of combustion chamber and fuel at molecular weight exceeding that of air is fed near convex surface of combustion chamber. Combustion chamber has curvilinear section smoothly changing into rectilinear section whose axis is parallel to axis of engine. Injectors are located at variable pitch in height of curvilinear section of chamber; pitch between injectors for engines working on fuel whose molecular weight is less than that of air reduces near concave surface of curvilinear section of chamber and pitch between injectors for engines working on fuel whose molecular weight is more than that of air reduces near convex surface of curvilinear section of chamber. EFFECT: increased completeness of combustion and enhanced stabilization of combustion process. 5 cl, 3 dwg
