FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ramjet comprises housing, air intake with central body accommodating fuel atomizer composed by gas-jet resonator with sharp edge connected by pylons with air intake, combustion chamber, igniter, nozzle, control system and solid-fuel cartridge for start acceleration. Concept of combustion consists in combustion of cartridge solid-fuel charge, air compression in air intake, generation of internal shock waves in engine flow section, feed of nano-dispersed fuel via atomizer into combustion chamber fuel including nanotubes with encapsulated hydrogen, initiation of pulsating fuel-air mix combustion in the chamber at 100-4000 Hz, expansion of combustion products and control over combustion conditions.
EFFECT: higher acceleration, better fuel combustion completeness, improved weight and size characteristics.
