FIELD: instruments, in particular, devices which measure hardness of large and heavy articles. SUBSTANCE: device has stationary bed, two cylindrical guides, two yokes one of which is stationary and another one is mobile, cantilever, gear, two electric motors, threaded joint, mobile hydraulic measuring head, electric circuit with control board, support, autonomous hydraulic station with pressure regulator and pump, nuts, electric cable, hydraulic drive, two types of control switches. Device has stationary bed, mobile measuring head on which floating control switch is mounted. It provides possibility to deliver and switch measuring head at minimal distance from tested articles. In addition device has autonomous hydraulic station, transmission valve with slide vale, electric solenoid.
