FIELD: radiation detectors, in particular, instruments which show distribution of radioactive materials which have been input into human body in course of medical investigations. SUBSTANCE: device has collimator and scintillator which are located in two parallel planes which are perpendicular to direction of radiation distribution. In addition device has position sensitive detector, unit which calculates signal coordinates, computer and display. Collimator is designed as two-dimensional encoding mask which has base part which is shaped by period of binary random sequence and its cyclic continuation. Base part of mask is mounted for movement in parallel to scintillator plane. Outputs of position-sensitive detector, which correspond to cyclic continuations of base part of mask are connected to inputs of unit which calculates coordinates of signals through gates which have external control, for example, manual control. Device provides possibility of fast remote detection of radioactive emission sources, in particular, hidden ones, to detect number of sources without painstaking long try-and-test measurements in order to locate radioactive sources. EFFECT: decreased intensity of radiation, simplified control of environment ecology with respect to ionizing radiation, possibility to detect hidden delivery of radioactive materials. 2 dwg
