FIELD: medicine; traumatology, treatment of chronic osteomyelitis. SUBSTANCE: affected bone is subjected to surgical treatment according to sequestrectomy procedure, bone defect is replaced in dosed manner so as to restore integrality, required length and axis of affected bone segment, while reconstituting in its tissues required strain and/or compression strain. Next follows fixation of operated bone segment using compressive/distractive apparatus, while controlling biochemical and immunologic parameters of patient. Inventive novelty of proposed method resides in that strain is actively maintained in affected bone segment tissues until formation in patients of stable positive dynamic picture of homeostasis system parameters which must have following values: alkaline phosphatase activity at least 4 mmole/l, dehydrogenase lactate activity at least 5 mmole/l, somatropin content at least 9 kg/ml, calcitonin content at least 250 ng/ml, paracterin content at least 4 ng/ml, in terms of immunologic reactivity according to "Т-РОК" scale at least 1100 mcl, in terms of immunologic reactivity according to "В-ГОК" scale at least 530 mcl, in terms of immunoglobulin A content at least 2.3 g/l. By moment of replacing bone defect, of restoring required length and axis of bone segment, segment tissues are placed under fixation conditions which are maintained until formation in patients of steady reconstructive dynamics and of above-specified homeostasis system parameters. EFFECT: proposed method permits to prevent cases of chronic osteomyelitis relapse. 1 tbl
