FIELD: die casting of metal and casting by models, in particular, slide retaining mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: die-mold has cover half with inclined wedge and ejector half with slide and retainer. Retainer has connecting rod, crank and retaining member, which are mounted on shafts for rotation relative to these shafts. Connecting rod and crank are interconnected through spindle carrying roller. When die-mold is opened, inclined wedge drives slide, which is displaced to urge retainer. Crank and connecting rod are initiated to turn relative to shafts and apply force to retaining member projection through roller. As a result, retaining member is pivoted to compress spring. As roller passes projection of retaining member, spring returns retaining member to the initial position. Crank and connecting rod are fixed in final position close to lower dead point of crank mechanism and, consequently, slide is also fixed. EFFECT: increased efficiency, enhanced reliability in operation and fixation of slides and reduced size of die-mold. 3 dwg
