FIELD: sewage treatment practice; environmental control. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus comprises upright cylindrical shell having conical bottom and internal cylindrical partition. Upper part of shell houses jet-type water distributor with connection pipes. Partition carries, freely disposed thereon, rocker with froth-removing plates attached to it. Froth-removing device is provided with half-coupling. Float assembly is disposed inside cylindrical partition. Aerator is arranged in gap between shell and cylindrical partition. Pressure regulator is provided on air duct supplying air to aerator. Collection of accumulated fat-containing mass is effected only when water reaches its maximum level in apparatus. Fat mass collection is effected without aerating liquid, thereby reducing moisture content of fat mass and preventing water from penetrating into it. Apparatus makes it possible to average sewage flow rate and composition and to effect mechanical cleaning of sewage from floating and settling insoluble impurities.
