SEWERAGE RETURN SIPHON Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: sewerage systems. SUBSTANCE: this relates to devices for transportation of liquid waste from territory of inhabited areas by gravity through deep-laid sewage lines, and it can be used for regulation of waste fluid flowing speed, removal of suspended and floating matter in condition of connecting additional lines over length of return siphon pipe. Sewerage return siphon has delivery and discharge manifolds, horizontal pipeline, and inclined delivery and discharge sections. Delivery section has inlet shaft 1, return siphon pipeline 2, domestic effluent pipe 3, immersible shutters 4 at places of conjugating inclined sections with horizontal section, pipeline for air delivery to underwater space 5, ventilation pipe 7. Horizontal section of return siphon is made up of horizontal pipeline of return siphon 8, side connection units 9 connected with horizontal pipeline of return siphon by means of connecting passages 10. Side connection unit 9 is located in shaft 11 with covering 12 divided by means of partition 13 into domestic effluent compartment 14 and rain compartment 15. Installed in covering are domestic effluent riser 16, air evacuation pipeline with non-return valve 18 connected with air vent riser 19, rain flow riser 22 connected with side delivery manifold. Discharge section of return siphon is made up of shaft 24, pipeline 25, and discharge shaft 26. Located in lower part of return siphon 25 is pipeline for removing domestic effluent 31, with its upper discharge end being connected with shaft 26 which is provided with gate 32 above pipeline 31.
