FIELD: manufacture of heat insulating materials, more particularly covering material in construction industry, and insulation of pipes. SUBSTANCE: raw mix "ecovata-2" comprises (wt%): 20-30 production waste of non-woven materials, felt products and building oakum; 50-60 ground low-quality cardboard and paper; 10 boric acid, and 10 borax, use of raw mix "ecavata-2" makes it possible to reduce manufacturing cost of heat-insulating materials and widen sphere of utilization of industrial waste products.
