FIELD: purification of metal surfaces against petroleum, oil products and oils. SUBSTANCE: proposed detergent contains 0.4-0.8 mass % of calcined soda, 0.3-0.6 mass % of trisodium phosphate, 0.2-0.4 mass % of liquid glass, 0.05-0.1 mass % of block copolymer of ethylene oxide with propylene oxide, 0.05-1 mass % of oxyethylated stearic acid or oxyethylated colophony and water the rest. Molecular weight of said block copolymer is 5500, ratio of monomer units in it being 0.6:1. Concentration of working solution is 10-20 g/l, its temperature being 50-80 C.
