FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, manufacturing of castings being used for articles which work in mediums which cause corrosion cracking (for example, medium of hydrogen sulfide and sea water). SUBSTANCE: proposed steel comprises 0.11-0.13 mass % of carbon, 0.9-1.4 mass % of manganese, 0.17-0.37 mass % of silicium, 0.8-2.5 mass % of chromium, 0.1-0.5 mass % of oxides of rare-earth elements, 0.1-0.8 mass % of molybdenum, 0.2-0.6 mass % of nickel, 0.03-0.14 mass % of vanadium, 0.01-0.06 mass % of niobium and ferrum the rest. EFFECT: homogeneity of characteristics through the whole thickness of casting wall, decreased possibilities of hot cracking in thick sections. 2 tbl
