FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel compositions used for the manufacture of pipes used in oil and gas fields containing hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide. Steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, nickel, aluminium, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, sulphur, phosphorus, copper, cobalt, titanium, niobium, antimony, and tin in the following ratio of components, wt.%: carbon from 0.2 to 0, 8, silicon from 0.4 to 0.7, manganese from 0.9 to 1.2, nickel from more than 0.5 to 1.0, aluminium from more than 0.1 to 0.25, chromium from 1.0 to 1.5, molybdenum from 0.2 to 0.5, vanadium from 0.1 to 0.2, copper from 0.1 to 0.3, cobalt from 0.1 to 0.5, titanium from 0.02 to 0.15, niobium from 0.06 to 0.10, antimony from 0.01 to 0.3, tin from 0.01 to 0.05, sulphur from 0.001 to 0.01, phosphorus from 0.001 to 0.015.
EFFECT: steel is resistant to hydrogen sulphide and sulphide cracking and hydrogen swelling.
