FIELD: pyrometry. SUBSTANCE: multiwave pyrometer is used to register emissivity of surface in compliance with method of measurement of temperature and emissivity of surface at temperatures above 900 K. This pyrometer has data processor and several radiation detectors sensitive to different intervals of wave lengths λ1... λ1... λn. Output signals of radiation indicators after processing have digital form, they are used to calculate temperature by means of Wien-Planck law with assumption that one deals with ideally black body while talking about surface. Then emissivity depending on temperature and length of wave is obtained from these calculated magnitude of temperature in agreement with approximation formula and finally temperature is found. In accordance with invention differences between signals of pyrometer and anticipated values based on received emissivity and temperature found by calculation are calculated for various versions of approximation and then formula (version) of approximation is chosen which gives sum of the squares of these differences.
