FIELD: string musical instruments. SUBSTANCE: technical result achieved by invention consists in reduction of time in process of teaching to search for tune on upper part of finger-board corresponding to given sound located in certain octave which accelerates process of teaching to play musical instrument and facilitates performance of musical compositions. Upper part of finger-board has row of longitudinal zones which number equals of strings. Sections over longitudinal zone designed to elicit key sounds of great octave are colored in red tone of light spectrum. Sections intended for elicitation of intermediate sounds of great octave have darker hue of red tone of light spectrum. Sections meant for elicitation of key sounds of minor, first and so on actives have correspondingly orange, yellow, etc colors forming sequence of tones of light spectrum: red-orange-yellow-green-blue.
