FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: the nuclear reactor channel body has a pipe of zirconium alloy and intermediate members installed at the pipe ends and made in the form of sleeves of zirconium alloy and stainless steel. The pipe of zirconium alloy is joined to the sleeves of zirconium alloy by fuse welding, and the sleeves of zirconium alloy are joined to the sleeves of stainless steel in the form of a lap diffusion weld joint. The sleeve of stainless steel envelops the sleeve of zirconium alloy. The conjugated surfaces of the sleeves over the entire length of the lap have alternating lugs and cavities entering each other. The lap diffusion weld joint has a solid diffusion layer not more than 5 mcm thick. EFFECT: improved design. 7 cl, 5 dwg
