FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, single-grain sowing of crops. SUBSTANCE: seeding unit has casing 1, hopper 2, roller 5 mounted on drive shaft 4, seed guiding chute 3. Cylindrical roller 5 has annular channel made in its side wall. Annular channel and casing define closed cavity. Adjusting valve 6 is attached to lower part of casing 1. Seeds and foreign matter clogging annular channel are removed by pusher 8 fixed to lower part of casing 1. Seeding unit may be used as metering device for free-flowing materials. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
