FIELD: feed production. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing feeds from plant wastes by grinding plants in disintegrator; performing thermal and baro treatment in hermetically sealed vessel at temperature of 120 C and pressure of 0.5-1.0 atm for 15-25 min, with temperature being gradually reduced to 45-50 C; introducing preparation of hydrolyzed whey enriched in sodium and/or ammonium lactate; providing fermentation and mixing for 8-10 hours while reducing temperature of mixture to 18-20 C. At final fermentation stage CaCl2 is introduced till required extent of hardening. Method further involves introducing additives, such as preparation of lactate-enriched hydrolyzed whey into feed, in an amount of 1-40% of dry feed substance prior to animal feeding, with day portion ranging from 10 to 15.0 kg per 1 kg of animal weight. Plant wastes, such as straw, corn stalks or chaff, may be preliminarily subjected to fermentation for 6-72 hours and obtained mixture may be supplied to animals for feeding for 1-6 days. EFFECT: simplified method and improved quality of feed. 3 cl, 3 tbl
