SURGICAL SUTURING-CUTTING APPARATUS FOR OPERATIONS ON VASCULAR-TUBULAR STRUCTURES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; suturing and cross-linking of vascular-tubular structures of parenchimatous organs. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus comprises rest-providing hook having working jaw 7 made in form of L-shaped plate provided with small cavities 9 for bending staplers, staple dispensing casing 13 provided with mechanism for selecting suturing gap width, staple- filled magazine 14 with staple-storing recesses 15, and staple pusher 16 with return mechanism and circular removable knife. L-shaped plate is formed with semioval outer surface and is rotatably connected with hook. L-shaped plate is provided with traction mechanism mounted on its longer arm. Staple pusher 16 is formed with drive, interior of which houses return mechanism associated with circular removable knife. As alternative embodiment, proposed apparatus can comprise traction mechanism mounted on L-shaped plate in form of carriage means 10 having staple-transferring rod and semioval outer surface. With this embodiment, length of carriage means 10 is selected to be such as to overlap 2/3 of total length of facing each other terminal portions of L-shaped plate and rest-providing hook. Latter embodiment further comprises return mechanism which can be formed as spring-urged knife-shaped pusher, L-shaped plate formed with groove that is congruent with knife edge, and two projections with smoothed-out facets. These projections are asymmetrically arranged between staple-bending cavities at distance of 1 mm from axial-end edges of cavities. Finally, apparatus comprises staple-bending cavities arranged asymmetrically in three rows. EFFECT: reliable and handy aid for surgeon. 5 cl, 3 dwg
