FIELD: packing of peat in polyethylene container. SUBSTANCE: press has frame, split press chamber with bottom installed on base of frame, charging shaft installed for movement relative to chamber, pressing plunger and chamber opener. Press has bale knockout mechanism made in form of C-shaped lever one end of which is hinge-connected through resilient member on turnable portion of chamber, and other, pushing end is installed in aperture in wall of press chamber for movement into inner space of chamber. Roller installed on outer side of lever engages with roller atop secured on bracket of press frame. Chamber turning drive has hydraulic cylinder and link gear. Link is connected through pin with bracket of press chamber turnable part and is mechanically coupled with hydraulic cylinder installed on press frame for turning in horizontal plane.
