FRAME OF CRAWLER EXCAVATOR UNDERCARRIAGE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: crawler-mounted earth-moving machines. SUBSTANCE: proposed frame of crawler excavator undercarriage features reduced weight of metal structure, lower labour intensity in manufacture, and reduced stresses in metal structure. Excavator frame has circular support intended for mounting of swinging circle. Also provided are components for installing drive and tension mechanisms of crawler belts. Upper plate of frame is curved and has horizontal portion for fastening of swinging circle. Lower plate is flat and its longitudinal edges are connected with upper plate. Upper and lower plates are interconnected by their longitudinal and lateral ribs which in combination with plates form together longitudinal and lateral beams. Components for mounting track rollers are made in the form of rectangular boxes which are attached to lower plate. Rectangular boxes have bushes for fastening axles of track rollers. Swinging circle is mounted on upper plate. Projections of beams on upper plate are crossing supporting perimeter of swinging circle. Span piece is intended for mounting central hydraulic manifold.
