FIELD: heat power engineering; combustion of solid fuel, including wood wastes. SUBSTANCE: fuel in reactor is subjected to thermal treatment in circulating aerofluidized bed. Gaseous products of thermal treatment thus formed, with entrained fine particles of fuel, are burnt up in boiler furnace. Large-size separated solid fractions of fuel treatment products are returned together with air into lower portion of reactor, and initial fuel is delivered into its upper portion.
