FIELD: heat engineering; direct conversion of mechanical energy into heat delivered to consumers by pumped liquid. SUBSTANCE: pump-heat generator is made either single-step or multiple step, depending on power rating of drive and required heating speed. Pump has in each step housing 1 and hollow rotor 5 cantilever-mounted in housing on drive shaft 4. Rotor has at least one device 7 acting onto liquid for its heating. Pump-heat generator has housing 1 similar to housing of centrifugal pump with central suction branch pipe 2 and tangential delivery branch pipe 3. Space of rotor 5 consists of two communicating parts which communicate also with space of housing. It has blind central hole 8 from side of drive shaft and at least one channel 6 directed from center to periphery of rotor. Outlet of channel has angular displacement relative to inlet in direction opposite to rotation of rotor. Device 7 acting onto liquid for its heating is made in form of at least one cavity in peripheral portion of rotor body outgoing from each channel 6 in direction opposite to rotation of rotor. EFFECT: prevention of blocking of heated liquid output in wide speed range, improved adaptability to manufacture, reliability and convenience in operation. 5 cl, 3 dwg
