FIELD: cryogenic and refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: in proposed method of cold production by sucking cooling agent vapors from evaporator, compressing the vapors, cooling them, condensing compressed vapors and throttling them into evaporator, suction of cooling agent vapors is carried out at pressure characterized by Knudsen number Kn ≥ 1, then prior to compressing, vapors are transferred at constant volume in compressor and then are compressed at momentary pressure rise after compressor in delivery pipeline with simultaneous cooling the vapors to condensing temperature.
