FIELD: mechanical engineering; manufacture of long structures. SUBSTANCE: each spar to be tested is placed in mould together with blank sample made from the same material, after it they are subjected to simultaneous polymerization. Blank sample is made in the form of plate whose length is equal to length of spar and width is equal to width of one of its sides. Thickness of plate satisfies the requirements imposed on sample in determination of characteristics of the given composite material. Plate is placed in mould on respective surface of spar over its entire length through gasket made form cellulosic packing film, for example. Quality of spar at respective sections of its length is judged from characteristics of material at different sections along blank sample after polymerization. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
