GEAR FOR MEASUREMENT OF CROSS-SECTION OF SAMPLE WHEN TESTING FOR SINGLE-AXIS TENSION Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: testing of samples. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear has cartage 1 with clamp 2 and measuring tool. Carriage is designed for installation on testing machine and is coupled to aid for carriage orientation and its movement along axis of ample. On carriage there mounted additional measuring tool and clamp 3 which measurement axis is perpendicular to measurement axis of first clamp 2 and loading axis of sample. Clamps 2 and 3 are mounted for movement relative to carriage 1 in direction of measurement axes. Aid for orientation of carriage 1 and its movement along axis of sample is manufactured in the form of two brackets 13 intended for installation on column of testing machine which ends are anchored on supports 12, roller put on free end of support. Aid for orientation of carriage 1 also incorporates rope wrapping around roller 16 one end of which is connected to carriage 1, counterweight 14 anchored on the other end of rope 15 and two springy plates 17 which one ends are attached to carriage 1 and which other ends are meant for embracing of column of testing machine.
