THYRISTOR CURRENT REGULATOR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2084948 C1

FIELD: power supply to electroplating devices in dimensional electrodeposition of metals. SUBSTANCE: device has three-phase power transformer 1, rectifier built around six power thyristors 2 through 7, linear voltage regulator built up of additional rectifier 8 and microelectronic voltage regulator 9, load current sensor incorporating resistive current sensor and instrument transformer 10, auxiliary rectifier 11, voltage divider 12, six control couplers 13 through 18, six isolating diodes 19 through 24, six comparators 26 through 31, six integrating circuits 32 through 37, and six diodes 38 through 43. Resistive current sensor is built around six resistors 44 through 49. EFFECT: provision for full-phase output current regulation from no current to maximum value, automatic balancing of turn-on angles of power thyristors, improved efficiency. 5 dwg
