FIELD: electrical power engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for protection of three-phase electric networks with insulated neutral against overvoltages. Limiter is manufactured in the form of two independent stars. Each star has two groups of zinc oxide resistors selected for breakdown voltage equal to 0.6 of line voltage of network. First group of resistors is connected with one lead to phase of network and with the other one forms common point of star to which resistor of second group linked with second lead to ground is connected. Three series diodes are placed into each independent star to obtain polarization effects. EFFECT: diminished number of zinc oxide resistors, increased reliability of limiter and decreased thermal load on resistors. 1 dwg
