FIELD: rocketry; actuating mechanisms of control surface and wing drives; steering gears for boats, launches and similar craft. SUBSTANCE: lattice aerodynamic surface is mainly used for rockets containing rectangular load-bearing frame consisting of side members, root and tip sections and attachment units for securing the surface to shaft of control surface actuator with set of planes of different thickness arranged inside frame. Side members of load-bearing frame have thickness reducing towards root section of surface, thickness of root plane exceeds that of tip plane; thickness of lattice planes reduces towards tip section smoothly or discretely.
