FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly to devices for reducing rolling and pitching motion. Proposed meshed bilge keel is installed on bilge rounding of ship hull along both current lines on both sides and consists of two rows of rectangular wings of small elongation, arranged one after another. Rows of wings are spaced on height. Root chords of wings are welded to ship hull, end chords are welded to longitudinal Τ-shaped rib, forming a rigid frame structure of meshed bilge keel, wherein wings of upper row are shifted along length relative to wings of lower row. Ratios of parameters of elements of meshed bilge keel are given depending on wing chord.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of intensity of pitching and roll due to forces originating on wings of meshed bilge keel as a result of pitching, reduced water resistance to movement of ship due to amplitude and improvement of reliability of meshed bilge keel due to rigid truss structure.
