FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of isoprene synthesis by liquid-phase interaction of formaldehyde with isobutylene and/or trimethylcarbinol. Process is carried out in two successive reaction zones at increased temperature and pressure in the presence of catalyst based on phosphoric acid, hydroxyethylidenephosphonic acid and hexamethylenetetramine taken at their mass ratio to phosphoric acid = (0.01-0.1):(0.02-0.2):1.
